Mater Dei

An acute general teaching hospital offering a full range of hospital services. It aims to create a centre of excellence in the provision of effective and efficient, acute patient centred quality care. It also aims to achieve high levels of patient and staff satisfaction and enhance teaching, research and innovation.

The 250,000 square metre complex includes 1 000 beds and 25 operating theatres. It was designed and built by the Swedish construction firm Skanska Malta JV who selected Tektraco as a sub-contractor to install various services for the hospital.

Tektraco was involved in the:

• Supply and installation of Medical Gas Network.

• Installation of Bed Head units.

• Supply and installation of Laboratory Gas Network for pathology and other labs.

Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre

The Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre is a new hospital catering for all adult and paediatric patients suffering from cancer with a capacity of over 110 beds.

Thanks to state-of-the-art equipment commissioned from the Leeds Cancer Centre, patients benefit from quicker and more precise radiotherapy. The increased precision in the delivery of radiotherapy ensures that the rays destroy cancer cells without harming the surrounding organs.

Tektraco was involved in the:

St James Zejtun

Saint James Hospital in Żejtun is a modern and welcoming healthcare facility equipped with the latest technology and located in a quiet, rural area.

The hospital is equipped with 2 operating theatres, 16 beds, and a multitude of state-of-the-art equipment. Moreover, the hospital is increasing its capacity further to add an additional operating theatre, and 7 more in-patient beds.
