Covid-19 works at Mater Dei Hospital
Mater Dei Hospital is an acute general and teaching public hospital offering a full range of hospital services. It also provides an extensive range of specialist services.
When the pandemic struck in 2020, Mater Dei Hospital went into the massive ordeal of converting various areas into fully functioning medical wards for a variety of applications. Some were left on stand-by, while others were activated to relieve ITUs and CCUs and make them available for patients suffering from severe cases of COVID-19. These areas included corridors, hallways, staff canteen and library and a variety of other areas. In total, Tektraco installed more than 150 Oxygen gas outlets, as well as a further 20 gas outlets which are a mix of other medical gases, at Mater Dei from February to April 2020.
